Hi. I’m Ashley. A 20-something marketing professional with a passion for skydiving.
I started my journey in the skies with a tandem jump in April 2009 while on vacation – thinking it would be a one-time thrill. That couldn’t have been farther from the truth. Before my feet were back on the ground after that first free fall I knew this was the sport for me, and I’ve been jumping ever since.
As a social media expert (aren’t we all) I decided to chronicle my journey into the skydiving community through this blog. Skydiving is a sport that continues to challenge even the most experienced jumpers and there’s always something new to learn. I plan to discuss these lessons and much more through regular posts, interviews and photos here at Skydive Chick.
Most weekends you can find me at my home drop zone Canton Air Sports, up in the sky or taking pictures on the ground. Gotta fund those jumps somehow! If you’re in the NE Ohio area, you should come out and jump with me.
During the week you’ll find me right here, or on Twitter (@theskydivechick) discussing the latest happenings in the skydiving community and the exciting world of sports parachuting. If there’s anything you want to know, read about, or want me to cover, just drop me a note at theskydivechick@gmail.com.
Blue Skies!
