Hehehe, I think everyone as a student avoids food like the plague. I sure did. Only after like 15 jumps did I start to eat properly (if you can call sandwiches proper food).

I love it everytime I find stuff in common with other beginners :D

Btw, if you want a place to log jumps, give http://jumperr.com a try :)

Sorry for the blatant self promotion, but I'm trying to get as many opinions as possible. Hope you don't mind ;)

Peace,
Pedro

Peter - it's definitely something I am working to improve. fruit has seemed to work the best for me. even when I don't think I'm hungry it helps with my energy levels.

and yes, once the beer is taken from the fridge, skydiving is done for the day.

Blue skies!

Yep, I agree with you and Peter! All of that adrenaline blocks the hunger signals. I try to start my day with a pretty calorie-heavy breakfast when I'm jumping - a whole wheat bagel and tofu cream cheese is my preference. :)

Even if I try to eat something for lunch or a snack, I have no appetite whatsoever, so it grosses me out.

Water, on the other hand, I chug at every opportunity. The air at 14k is dry!

Hi Ashley,

Same here. It's the adrenaline thats flowing through your body.
The moment you go up in a 'stick' your mind has to be prepared again.
Jumping out of a perfectly good airplane?
Hell yeah :-)
Your brains are not busy at all with feeding you.
You are in alert mode all day but you are used to that on the DZ.

But here comes muscle memory :-)
The moment you lift that arm with a cold nice beer the brains go in relax mode.
There's no more jumping after beer.
And then you start to feel hungry which was least important.

Heineken
